Fistura is trialled in the UK

Today we carried out the very first radio-frequency Fistula Treatment in the UK, under the expert hand of Mr Piero Nastro FRCS, at the NHS Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup, part of Dartford & Gravesham NHS Trust. We treated a patient with a transsphincteric fistula using radio-frequency ablation (called FISTURA), the first treatment of its kind. Mr Nastro has been an advocate of The Rafaelo Procedure, having carried out dozens of cases, and he was keen to try out this new application for fistulas.
